Description Pre-Columbian, southern Mexico to Guatemala, Olmec, ca. 900 to 500 BCE; southern Mexico, Guerrero region, Mezcala culture, ca. 500 to 100 BCE; Ecuador, Bahia culture, ca. 300 to 500 CE; southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A fine gathering of 14 pendants formed from pottery or carved from greenstone or jade; included is one modern agate head. Two Olmec amulets depict broad celts. Three Mezcala pieces show abstract heads and a standing figure. Two Bahia pendants show an abstract head and a standing figure. Seven Maya pendants include a finely detailed head and minimalist forms. Size of largest (Mezcala head): 0.875" W x 1.4" H (2.2 cm x 3.6 cm)

Condition Report Fourteen items are ancient, and one agate head is modern. All items have minor nicks and abrasions, with small chips to Bahia stone head. Light earthen deposits and smooth surfaces throughout.
