Very rare and interesting mid century pop art painting attributed to Andy Warhol. Provenance: from the estate of 1950's NYC newspaper editorialist Elburn Rochford. Rochford was the granddaughter of 19th Century American corrupt mayor Alonso "Dirty Doc" Ames in Minneapolis Minnesota. She was given the illustrations by Warhol for her to show to her Newspaper editors. Rochford is said to have gotten Warhol one of his earliest jobs illustrating with a NY Magazine.
