. The underglaze blue decoration features a peony scroll, the peony representing wealth, love, affection and beauty. Around the mouth is a geometric trellis pattern. To the base is a single Chinese character 'Fok' meaning good luck. Diameter 13.5 cm (5.25 inches). No repair or restoration. Ming Dynasty, late 15th – 16th Century.
