. The outer wall is decorated with a scrolling peony pattern whilst the inner pattern features lotus flowers in "white on blue". Diameter 14.5 cm (5.75 inches). There is the usual "fritting" to the glaze at the rim edge seen on most porcelain of this period. Fine condition with a good ring when tapped and no repair or restoration. Ming Dynasty, Jiajing reign (1522 - 1566).
