A photographic travel log of meticulously annotated well executed photographs taken by Robert G. Stubbs of Augusta Maine of his excursion to West Africa in 1924 documenting the mahogany trade throughout several countries as well as the natives and other aspects of his adventure. Approximately (280) large format 3 1/2 x 6 inches negatives annotated in (3) albums which covers have been hand painted with the nationalities of interest. Together with an album of over (300) 3 x 5 1/4 inch annotated contact prints apparently following the same sequence of the annotated negatives (unpaginated). 9 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches (album overall)
