Square, with decoration of four finely detailed mythological vignettes including the Gods of Good Fortune. Repeated elements at each chamfered corner. Domed cover with gilt knop and decoration of iris and repeated elements. Shimazu crest on signature plaque on base. Height 8". Length 5.5".
