Pair of mid 19th Century painted ceramic portrait plaques, depicting a lady and gentleman, half-length in interiors, unmarked, each 14 x 18cm, in arched slip and swept gilt frame, one under glass (2) Condition: Male figure portrait is unglazed and has commensurate dirt and minor rubbing, extensive flaking to gilt slip and to frame, plus some moulding losses to same. Female portrait is glazed, some 'bloom' beneath glass, a little flaking to slip, further losses to frame as per images, overall both requiring extensive restoration to frames but portraits in decent order.
