George III oak-cased eight day brass-dial longcase clock, Baker, Malling, circa 1800, the twelve-inch break arch dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a matted centre with sunken subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, beneath boss engraved 'Baker Malling', knopped 5-pillar movement, rack-striking on a bell, the break-arched case with brass ball finials, fluted sunken pillars and moulded long trunk door on plain base and stepped plinth, 206.5cm high Condition: Dial would benefit from a clean, chapter ring may have been previously silvered. Movement is untested, sold as seen. Case has minor loss to one front corner of hood, one cavetto moulding to top of base is loose but present, otherwise sound.
