Mid 19th Century brass-framed 'Cathedral' skeleton timepiece with passing strike, with 6-inch pierced Roman chapter ring, the triple-spire frame of four-pillar design with four-spoke wheel work, chain-driven single fusee movement, and bell surmount with pike staff striker, on stepped white marble base beneath glass dome, 42cm high overall Condition: Chapter ring is currently cream painted and may originally been silvered. Hands appear to be of later date. Frame appears sound, movement untested and sold as seen. Ceramic feet to marble base maybe of later date, and glass some maybe associated.
