guilloche and stiff leaf decoration above twin lozenge and flowerhead-carved cupboards flanking a matching central panel separated by Atlantes, all between ring-turned bulbous supports, the lower stage with matching frieze over conforming cupboards and central panel, raised on later bracket feet, 171.5cm x 51cm x 179cm high Condition: Cavetto-moulded cornice is a later edition. Original front-to-back roof planks are still in place. Crack to left side of main frieze and further minor cracking to centre and to right side. Indicating genuine age. Panels and a Atlante all appear to be of convincing age, right hand cupboard door has a plugged and filled repair to panelling and a further plug repair above keyhole. Fixed central panel has knot marks and infilling plus a crack to right side. Left hand cupboard door has plug matching that to the right keyhole. Plus losses to upper left corner where it meets frame of door. Old cracking to right shoulder (left as we look at it) of left hand Atlante where left cupboard door has been forced. Ring marks to ledge of lower section. Cracking to lower frieze as per upper frieze. Toggles to lower doors are replacements. Sides have patch repairs to fielded panels and horizontal cracks, lowest panel on left side has a damaged and partially repalced corner. The whole has been coloured and polished to even out differences in timbers but overall the piece has a good degree of original 17th Century timber. Bracket feet and cornice detract from what is essentially a period piece and this could be easily rectified. **Please see extra images and TELEPHONE department if you require further information.
