The engraving is divided into three parts depicting Bokkier Castle, plan of Castle and Port. (a) Bokkier Castle seen from the north; (b) the south-east; (c) plan of the Castle and Port, . Numbered top right with XIV. With handwritten pencil marks below. Frederic Louis Norden (1708-1742) traveled through Egypt in 1737-1738 at the request of the Danish king Christian VI. Norden took many notes and made drawings of everything that surrounded him, including people, monuments of the pharaohs, architecture, maps. All this was published in the posthumous "Travels in Egypt and Nubia". The work of Frederick Norden is one of the first attempts to fully investigate Egyptian culture and architecture.
