A wonderful expressive bronze sculpture by Eugene Lansere. After the battle, an elderly Cossack Zaporozhets on horseback cleans his saber. He sits on a tired and, apparently, wounded horse. The horse, though slowly, moves forward. Nearby, a Cossack leads a captured Turkish horse without a rider, who seems alarmed and confused. All the details of everyday life and ammunition are transferred with great accuracy. Signed on the pedestal "E. LANCERAY" (Cyrillic).
