An excellent, high quality pair of 18th century Chinese export vessels made into lamps. The underglaze blue is finely painted, and the cartouches with outdoor domestic scenes in landscape settings are beautifully drawn and enameled. The overall floral designs covering the vessels have extensive gold gilding throughout (a sign of the higher quality export), with only very minor rubbing in a few small areas. Provenance: Ex Southern Virginia estate. Dimension:11 1/2"(29.21cm) H(Vase).
