A large Western Han Dynasty pottery tile (of the period), c. 100 BCE
This impressed and carved tile depicts elegant prancing horses (generally thought of as a Tang Dynasty convention, but which originated here) with phoenixes above. The top and bottom borders have well defined diamond patterns. This artifact guaranteed to be of the period.
Dimension:24 3/4" high x 53 1/4" wide .
