A delightful Chinese Neolithic pottery pouring vessel (Gui), in a tripod-leg form found in both the Early Longshan Culture (c. 2500 a?? 3000 BC) and Dawenkou culture in Shandong Province around the early 3rd millennium BC. Beautifully restored, the traditional shape has been made into a creative work of art by the simple addition of two circles on either side of the spout giving the appearance of an animal looking up.
