A Chinese jade joint brush washer and brush holder dating from the 18th to 19th century. The jade features a carving of a phoenix perched on the rim of the washer and lingzhi carvings on the body. It is accompanied by a wooden stand. Dimensions are: 2 1/8 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 5.4 cm tall X 15.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Small area of damage to back of phoenix's head, and a small chip to the rim of the brush holder. Provenance: From a collector in Northern California.
