A Chinese white jade carving dating to the Yuan dynasty. The carving, which has been set into backing with a pendant and brooch, depicts a Guanyin and a boy among ruyi clouds. Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide, 5.7 cm tall X 3.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Small breakage to left, right, and bottom. Provenance: From a Dr. Wang in Northern California. Dr. Wang is a retired professor from the School of Business at California State University.
