A Chinese jade carved plaque dating from the 18th to 19th century. The plaque is etched and shows a stream from a mountaintop that sits beneath a tree with fruit on one side. The other side shows a scholar crossing a bridge over a waterfall by a pine tree. Dimensions are: 6 inches tall x 7 inches wide X 3/4 inches deep, 15.2 cm tall X 17.8 cm wide X 1.9 cm deep. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Overall good condition. Provenance: From Mrs. Chandler in Seattle, Washington. Her grandfather purchased for Gump's in San Francisco in late 1930s or 40s.
