A Chinese blanc de chine lotus-shaped tripod censer dating from the Ming dynasty. The censer has beast heads and feet, a wooden lid, and a pair of handles. Dimensions are: 4 1/4 inches tall X 5 3/4 inches wide, 11.4 cm tall X 14.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Overall good condition with a minor firing crack to the inside of the rim. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok's daughter and grandson.
