A rectangular Chinese porcelain wucai box dating from the late 19th century. The box has a 6-character mark on the bottom and a 2-headed beast engaged handle on the top of the lid. The box features dragons and phoenixes around the body and on either side of the handle. Dimensions are: 3 3/4 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 9.5 cm tall X 12.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok' s daughter and grandson.
