A Chinese corncob-shaped famille rose vase dating from the Republic period. There is a 4-character mark on the bottom, an inscription, and 3 seals. The body depicts a scene of 2 women in a courtly setting near a lotus pond, while lingzhi sit beneath overhanging trees. The neck of the vase features a Greek key border, Shou characters, ruyi motifs, bats, and dual lucky coins. Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide, 27.9 cm tall X 8.9 cm wide.
