A Chinese famille rose cylinder vase dating from the Republic period. The vase has a 6-character mark on the bottom. The body features a scene of sparrows in a flowering tree. Dimensions are: 5 1/2 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches wide, 14 cm tall X 4.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition. Provenance: From Mr. Chun in Northern California. These items were from Mr. Chun's grandfather, who was the owner of Chang Mao Yang Hang bank in Shanghai during the British concession in the early 1900s.
