A 5-color Imperial Chinese edict dating from the Daoguang period. The edict is written in Mongolian and Kaishu and has an Imperial seal from each language. There are an additional 2 seals on the reverse. Dimensions are: 13 in. tall X 93 in. wide, 33 cm tall X 236.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Overall good condition with very minor age wear; most notably bleaching to the brown section of the edict. Provenance: From Mrs. Silver in the Washington DC area.
