Yongzheng mark and of the periodFinely potted with rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, supported on a gently tapered foot ring, the exterior covered with a bright lemon-yellow enamel contrasting with the white interior and foot, the foot bearing the six-character mark in underglaze blue, the enamels possibly later. 4 3/8in (11.1cm) diameter

清雍正 黃釉盌 《大清雍正年製》款Bowls and dishes enameled yellow on exterior with white interiors were used by Imperial concubines of the first rank. A Yongzheng mark and period yellow enameled bowl of similar size sold at Christie's New York, 21-22 March 2013, lot 1184; and a pair Yongzheng mark and period lemon-yellow glazed bowls of identical size is illustrated in Selected Ceramics from the Collection of Mr. & Mrs. J. M. Hu, Shanghai Museum, 1989, p. 89, no. 54. A slightly larger bowl (11.4cm) sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 27 November 2013, lot 3490, and another (11.8cm diameter is illustrated in Imperial Perfection: The Palace Porcelain of Three Chinese Emperors, Hong Kong, 2004, no.99, p.248-249.
