A Rosewood Cased Musical Workbox, late 19th century, in the form of a piano with mother-of-pearl ''keys'', on baluster turned legs, containing an arrangement of lidded and open compartments and with a cylinder musical movement, 36.5cm long. Cover no longer sits neatly on base due to shrinkage. One mother-of-pearl boss missing. Some typical wear and scratching throughout. Interior with fading, staining and losses. Musical movement not working.
