Vase seto en émail blanc en forme d’éléphant avec un ?anneau buccal? en forme de fleur de lotus. Le fond a une inscription datée : Tenpo 3 (1832) et signée : Sobaitei Kikuzan (Kato Zenemon, 1785-1873) de Seto Village. L’anneau porte la même inscription. Dans la bo?te originale signée. Une des défenses de l’éléphant est restaurée.
Seto-ware white glazed vase in the shape of an elephant with a separate “mouth-ring” in the shape of a lotus flower. The bottom has an inscription dated: Tenpo 3 (1832) and signed: Sobaitei Kikuzan (Kato Zenemon, 1785-1873) from Seto Village. The “mouth-ring” has the same inscription. In original signed box. One of the tusks of the elephant is restored.
