Royal Copenhagen "Fairy Tale" Porcelain Figuresecond half of the 20th century, one of the "Fairy Tale" set crafted in a matte glaze, each variation of the set depicts an amorous couple in Eastern dress, the underside is marked with underglaze blue waves, overglaze crown, painted numbers and letters. 9 x 6.75 x 5 in. This figural group was designed by Gerhard Henning (Danish, 1880-1967) for Royal Copenhagen. An early example, circa 1921, is included in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
