Description Bronze with several silver inlays West-Tibet or Kashmir , 10th - 11th century Dimensions: Height 15 cm by 7 cm Weight: 550,1 grams Seated Buddha of the Future on a throne supported by lions on a double reverse lotus base. His legs are crossed and his foot soles are showing upwards. He is wearing a long dhoti, a scarf around his arms and necklaces, jewellery and a crown. The eyes are wide open and worked with inlay, creating a piercing glance. With the left hand he is showing the gesture of dispensing boons, the other hand is holding something, possibly a small flask holding the liquid of immortality. When we look at the back we see his long curly hair hanging down on to his back.
