Description Bronze Tibet, 19th century Dimensions: Height 6 cm Weight: 148 grams Buddha seated in lotus pose showing the bhumispharsa mudra, calling the earth to witness. His right chest is covered in a robe which is stylistically fanning out underneath his legs. Elongated earlobes frame the round face and the expression shows the meditative state of the Buddha. Tiny curls cover his head and ushnisha. The throne has a semi-circled shape and is set off by a band filled with small figures, animals and disciples supporting the throne. This is followed by a double reverse lotus throne.
