Description Bronze China , 19th century Dimensions: Height 29 cm Weight: 2054 grams Probably depicting Vaisravana, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, this bronze shows this guardian deity standing on a rock in boots and armour with a floating celestial scarf and crown. His belt is decorated with a fierce animal mask in the middle like a makara. The face is grim-looking and the mouth is closed tightly for his breath is harmful. In his lifted palm he is holding a small stupa while the other hand is placed on his hip.
