Description Bronze fire-gilt China , 18th century , Qing Dynasty Dimensions: Height 12 cm by 10 cm Weight: 738,6 grams Jambhala sitting in royal ease pose on a prostrate lion on a lotus podest with beaded rim. The lion's face is turned towards him with mouth agape. The left hand is forming a mudra while the right hand is placed on top of the mongoose sitting on his right leg. The mongoose called Nehulay is said to spew forth jewels and gems. There are five Jambhalas manifesting the Buddha's and Bodhisattva's compassion to guide all beings to enlightenment.
