Description Bronze Tibet , 15th century Dimensions: Height 11,5 cm Weight: 190,9 grams A stupa on a circular base set off by a beaded rim and double reverse lotus flower. The domed body rises into a stepped railing called harmika and the 13-stepped spire symbolising the steps of enlightened consciousness of Buddha. All is topped by a parasol and a lotus bud finial. The characteristics of this stupa like its overall bell shape define it as Kadampa stupa. Stupas contain the remains of Lamas or holy people and also sacred texts and figurines to recall the Buddha and his nirvana.
