Description Wood painted and semi-precious stones inlaid Nepal , 18th century Dimensions: Height 55 cm by 18 cm Weight: 1410 grams Standing on a circular lotus throne, the holder of the lotus is showing the varada mudra with the left hand while the other is held in a fist, possibly this hand was holding a lotus flower which is now missing. The dhoti is fastened around the waist by a belt and exposes the right leg from the knee. The wais is accentuated and the body is adorned with jewellery. The face is friendly-looking and slightly bent to the ground creating a very humble impression.
