Description Bronze with Silver and turquoise inlay Tibet , 12th to 13th century Dimensions: Height 9 cm by 7 cm Weight: 117 grams Buddha Shakyamuni seated on double reverse lotus throne with legs crossed and gesturing the mudra calling the earth to witness. The Buddha's right shoulder is covered in a robe with decorative rim. A neck is hardly visible as the broad face attaches to the torso almost immediately. The face is small and friendly-looking, the earlobes are elongated. A hairline separates the face from the hair and the ushnisha is topped by a lotus bud or diamond. The inside of the bronze reveals sacred text rolls held together by strings.
