Single page typed letter signed on letterhead of "British Military Mission". Dated "July 11, 1918", and signed by Herbert Hoover "Herbert C. Hoover". Additionally signed by three others, J.P. Cotton, George Jackson, and Lewis Strauss. 8.5" x 11" . Chipping to outer edges with small intact tears. Expected folds, very good.
A fantastic letter written to "certify that permission has been granted ... to the following persons whose signatures appear at the foot hereof, to proceed to the United Kingdom ... Owing to the exceptional circumstances, the visa of this Military Control Office on their passports has been waived..."
