The present lot is based on the 'Borgheses Gladiator', a Greek marble sculpture by Argasius of Ephesus, son of Dositheus, dating to circa 100BC, and originally part of the collection of Cardinal Scipion Borghese and now in the collections of the Louvre Museum, Paris.
Condition: Figure good.? Marble foot cracked and with one corner chipped off.
