Description A Red Knot or Robin Snipe decoy. Possibly by Schute family. Probably from Cape May area, NJ. Late 19th century. Solid Consturction with carved wings. Retains fine original paint in the spring or breeding plumage. Shows little wear. Bears the stamp from the Hillman collection and James McCleery collection. Stamped on tail. 5 1/4" x 8 1/2" x 2 1/4".
