Due to the exotic format a piece which was still used for ceremonies. Also depicted are bats as a symbol of luck. Five bats = five bliss (health, long life, wealth, virtue and a quick natural death). Butterflies for falling in love. Phoenix as symbol for happiness, the female (Yin), symbol for the empress, more rarely for the south, different sexual meanings; one of the four wonder animals. Peacock (?) for dignity, beauty. Lotus as symbol for purity, unity, fertility. And so on. The yellow ground colour was reserved for the emperor. Naturfarbstoffe. Schon auf Grund des Exotenformates ein Stück, welches noch zu Zeremonien verwendet wurde. Abgebildet auch Flederm?use als Symbol für Glück. Fünf Flederm?use = fünf Glückseligkeiten (Gesundheit, langes Leben, Reichtum, Tugendhaftigkeit und ein schneller natürlicher Tod). Schmetterlinge für Verliebtheit. Ph?nix als Symbol für Glück, das Weibliche (Yin), Symbol für die Kaiserin, seltener für den Süden, verschiedene sexuelle Bedeutungen; eines der vier Wundertiere. Pfau (?) für Würde, Sch?nheit. Lotus als Symbol für Reinheit, Einheit, Fruchtbarkeit. Und so weiter. Die gelbe Grundfarbe war dem Kaiser vorbehalten. Diese strikte Ikonographie wurde ab 1850 immer weiter verw?ssert.
