注脚
The grandson of Living National Treasure porcelain artist Kondo Yuzo (1902-1985), Kondo Takahiro was a champion table-tennis player before he started his ceramics studies and devoted his energies to a career that has made him an internationally feted superstar of clay. This vase dates from a period when he was exploring a technique called ginteki (silver drops), using precious metals to produce a finish like dew on grass, representing what he called "water born out of fire."
