注脚
古格 藏西 十三/十四世紀 彩繪經頁 Flanking this folio's fine ucchen script are charming illustrations depicting Avalokiteshvara Shadakshari (left) and an enthroned monk (right). Shadakshari is surrounded by a vine of buddhas and enlightened lamas born from the same sacred source. The scrollwork compares favorably with an early-14th-century Prajnaparamita manuscript page (Heller, Hidden Treasures of the Himalayas, Chicago, 2009, pp.184-5, fig. 127). The high scrolling makara tails of the monk's throne back are also found in a 13th century illuminated manuscript now in the Collection of Shelley & Donald Rubin (HAR 60668).
