羅俄堪千索南倫珠銅像西藏 十五/十六世紀 This charming little portrait can be confidently identified as Sonam Lhundrup (c.1456-1532), the Khenchen ('Great Abbot') of the Kingdom of Lo, who is often depicted as having this portly body, rounded features, and tonsure with long sideburns. He is also commonly seen holding a flaming triratna in the palm of his left hand, as in the present example. He wears a monastic shirt wrapped under an inner robe, secured by a belt under his chest, and an outer robe covering both of his shoulders. See three other portraits of the master sold at Bonhams, New York, 14 March 2017, lots 3275, 3276 & 3277. Provenance Peaceful Wind, Santa Fe, 2007
