Description A BRONZE SCULPTURE OF A SEATED BUDDHA
Thailand, probably 15th century
The deity sitting on a double lotus flower base, the legs crossed in the dhyanasana position, the right hand resting on the corresponding knee in the bhumisparsamudra, the left hand with the open palm facing upwards, dressed in a light sanghati that leaves the right side of the torso uncovered, the oval face with a meditative expression, with a hint of a hieratic smile, the head surmounted by a spherical usnisa.
