Description A group of antiquities comprising three Cypriot pottery vessels, including a Cypro-Geometric Bichrome ware flask with cut-away spout, a strainer at its base, set at right angles to the handle, on a raised base, the buff coloured body with linear decoration in umber, circa 1050 - 700 B.C., 9cm high; a Black-on-Red ware dropper flask with arching handle and banding decoration, 8.4cm high and a Bichrome Ware feeder flask with worn decoration around the neck, 7.5cm high, circa 700 - 475 B.C.; a Greek red-figure lekanis lid decorated with the profile head of two ladies of fashion, palmettes separating them, the knop with wave pattern, details enlivened in white slip, 11.5cm diam and a black glazed olpe with slender body, 13.6cm high, Greek South Italy, 4th Century B.C. Condition - in order of cataloguing: Encrustations on the surface with worn decoration but overall in good condition; Ink inscribed NO 615 on the underside of the base, minor chip to the tip of the spout and with minor encrustations around the spout and tiny chips to the body but overall in good condition; Half the body with encrustations, a chip to the side and the tip of the spout worn, decoration worn Lid - stress crack on top of the knop, overall in good condition Jug - black glaze is worn on one side towards the base and on the other side half of the neck and should have worn glaze. Overall the glaze is uneven, though the condition of the vessel itself is good.
