There 2 different type characters of Tang ladies: until the 8th cent. slander and long, from the 8th-9th cent. more plump, due to the change of role of women in the Tang dyn. This dancer display a graceful movement, using the long sleeves of her dress, to emphasize the movement. Her hair is done in a typical Tang dyn. coiffure. The long dress held by a sash, reaching down to the floor. Traces of red, black and white pigment.
Old repairs to neck, right arm and hand, and left hand.
