A group of four Japanese canes Various dates 20th century Comprising a silver-mounted carved bone and malacca walking stick, the bone handle carved in the form of a skull and snake, silver marked with maker's mark HH and stamped "STERLING;" a brass-mounted hardstone and carved bone dagger walking stick, the bone shaft carved to imitate bamboo and incised with monkeys, the handle removing to unsheath a 20 3/4-inch blade, with horn ferrule; a silver-mounted ivory and hardwood cane, the ivory handle carved in the form of a snake on a tree branch, the silver marked "STERLING," with bone ferrule; and a carved bamboo systems walking stick, the shaft carved with allover figural samurai carving, the brass ferrule unscrewing to an extending telescoping rod.
