A Chinese porcelain famille rose-verte octagonal charger, F80414/92
. 19th century, with scalloped gilt-edged rim, the central exterior scene depicting scholars holding a scroll within a bamboo fenced garden, with lake, temple and mountains behind, within borders of birds and butterflies, two character mark in underglaze blue to base, 17?in. (45cm.) diameter.
. *Old, shallow chip to rim edge (25 x 6mm). Some dulling and wear to gilt rim. A few other tiny (under 3mm) glaze chips to rim edge. Circular shallow chip to underside of rim (9 x 8mm), and one other tiny chip on opposite side. Small rough unglazed spot to base, just off-centre, which includes part of one of the blue overglaze painted marks.
