Description Four level food container with cover and tall handle for transport; very attractive in its vibrant, decorative, golden appearance. Beautiful, shiny gold-leap applied to deep black lacquer using the shwezawa technique, lending the decoration a special effect and elegance. The pattern is composed of floral maw-pan-volutes strung together, on the bottom container in two rows, otherwise in only one row. On each side of the container is a field with a chinthe inside, a fantastic creature similar to a lion; eleven in total. The insert in the uppermost container is partitioned for spices. The three-part cover consists of two bowls as well as a cover of its own which, turned upside-down, serves as a cup. The inside is uniformly lacquered black.Wood, bamboo, lacquer technique, gold, late Konbaung, 19th cent.Height of Container,5 cm, Diameter 25 cm, with handle 58 x 27,8 cm. | Vierst?ckiger Lebensmittelbeh?lter mit Deckel und hohem Griff für den Transport; sehr attraktiv in seinem lebendigen, dekorativen, goldenen Aussehen. Wundersch?ner, gl?nzender Goldsprung, der mit der Shwezawa-Technik auf tiefschwarzen Lack aufgetragen wurde und der Dekoration einen besonderen Effekt und Eleganz verleiht. Das Muster besteht aus floralen Maulwannen-Voluten, die auf dem Bodenbeh?lter in zwei Reihen aneinandergereiht sind, ansonsten nur in einer Reihe. Auf jeder Seite des Beh?lters befindet sich ein Feld mit einem Chinthe im Inneren, eine fantastische Kreatur, die einem L?wen ?hnelt. insgesamt elf. Die Beilage im obersten Beh?lter ist für Gewürze unterteilt. Der dreiteilige Deckel besteht aus zwei Schalen sowie einem eigenen Deckel, der auf den Kopf gestellt als Tasse dient. Die Innenseite ist gleichm??ig schwarz lackiert. Holz, Bambus, Lacktechnik, Gold, sp?tes Konbaung, 19. Jh. Beh?lterh?he, 5 cm, Durchmesser 25 cm, mit Griff 58 x 27,8 cm.
