Description Guanyin is the Chinese mother goddess and when depicted with child is known as Songzi Guanyin. Here she is dressed in a white robe (Baiyi Guanyin), with a high chignon and a necklace. One hand shows the Abhaya mudra, the gesture of fearlessness. The boy in her lap is holding a lotus flower that has not blossomed yet, a charming, symbolic detail. Guanyin herself shows fine, majestic and introverted facial features. The headscarf and shawl are colored yellow and green, respectively. The reverse shows a square opening. Condition: All fingers are broken off, otherwise good condition. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Dimensions: Height 23.7 cm. | Guanyin ist die chinesische Mutterg?ttin und wenn sie mit einem Kind dargestellt wird, ist sie als Songzi Guanyin bekannt. Hier tr?gt sie ein wei?es Gewand (Baiyi Guanyin) mit einem hohen Chignon und einer Halskette. Eine Hand zeigt das Abhaya Mudra, die Geste der Furchtlosigkeit. Der Junge auf ihrem Scho? h?lt eine Lotusblume, die noch nicht geblüht hat, ein charmantes, symbolisches Detail. Guanyin selbst zeigt feine, majest?tische und introvertierte Gesichtszüge. Das Kopftuch und der Schal sind gelb bzw. grün gef?rbt. Die Rückseite zeigt eine quadratische ?ffnung. Zustand: Alle Finger sind abgebrochen, sonst guter Zustand.
