Encres et couleurs très sensibles, jeu maitrisé entre abstraction et figuration, nets et flous.
Un des artistes fondateurs du groupe contestataire des Etoiles (Xing-xing) créé en 1979 à Pékin. Figure incontournable de la peinture contemporaine. Moins connue que la production abstraite à l’huile, l’oeuvre peinte à l’encre est peut-être antérieure. Les trois encres que nous présentons sont datées de 1987.

Very sensitive inks and colours, a controlled play between abstraction and figuration, sharp and blurred.
One of the founding artists of the protest group Les Etoiles (Xingxing) created in 1979 in Beijing. A key figure in contemporary painting. Less well known than abstract oil painting, the work painted in ink is perhaps earlier. The three inks we present are dated 1987.
