19th centuryPotted from purple clay and enamelled overall to the exterior in a bright blue ground, painted in slip around the body with poems from the anthology 解人颐 Jie ren yi, by 钱德苍 Qian Decang, and with a poem by Wang Changling (698–756), the cover decorated with flowers and a knop finial, the base with a seal mark. 33cm (13in) wide (2).
